![]() Here's a very recognizable tune. It's an excerpt from "Grand Vals", a solo composition for guitar written by Francisco Tarrega in 1902. Most people recognize it, though, as the Nokia default ringtone. Note the key signature: 3 sharps (key of A).  So the scale has
an F#, C#, and G# in it.  That's why the middle C in the third measure,
for example, is played on the first fret (C#) rather than as an open string
(C).  If all that doesn't make sense, don't worry about it.
